Are you an HGV/LGV driver in Somerset or surrounding areas driving for hire and reward? Newly qualified drivers will need to complete an initial CPC. This involves a theory test and an additional assessment which is a practical demonstration of vehicle safety, we can help you with this. You will need to complete 35 hours of classroom training every 5 years in order to keep your driving licence validated. This can be done in small blocks over the 5 years or all at once. At YDT we provide both detailed training programmes or a shorter version of the CPC training, whichever suits your requirements. Contact us to for more information on pricing and course details.

Initial CPC course cost £165 + VAT
We can provide this while you train with us or we can provide this if you already hold the relevant driving licence.
An Initial CPC can do done after you have passed your MOD 2 Theory test with DVSA.
If you are training with us we will train you and conduct your MOD 4 test in house by one of our qualified MOD 4 Examiners. You will require a MOD 4 if you intend to use your licence for hire and reward. We will use one of our vehicles to train and test you.
An initial CPC course will take approx 4 hours.
While there was a lot of controversy about scrapping the CPC qualification the government has made it clear that CPC is here to stay.
