Due to changes in licencing, you are now able to go direct from your car licence (Cat B) to your HGV Class 1 from the age of 18. There is no longer a requirement to take your Class 2/ rigid first. Our experienced team can advise and support you on the journey from Cat B to Cat C+E from getting your medical paperwork completed through to guidance and help with the hazard perception test right through to your C+E driving test.
The test will consist of two parts. Firstly there is the reversing exercise otherwise known as the 3A which will be conducted by one of our own 3A assessors. Then the 3B test which is the test of your road driving which will be conducted by a DVSA driving examiner. Our expert instructors will train you to test standard and beyond to ensure you have all skills and knowledge to stay safe in your future driving career.
Length of course: 5 days subject to assessment.

Two-Part Test Structure
The test is split into two key components:
The course takes you from a Cat B car licence to a Cat C/Class 2 lorry licence. It includes both practical driving and essential skills training to ensure you are prepared for the test and a safe driving career.

3A Reversing Exercise: Conducted by one of our experienced 3A assessors, this exercise focuses on your reversing skills.
3B Road Driving Test: A road driving test conducted by a DVSA examiner to assess your ability to drive on the road safely.
Length of course: 5 days subject to assessment. This allows you enough time to develop the skills needed for both parts of the test.
The 3A Reversing Exercise will be assessed by one of our own trained 3A assessors. The 3B Road Driving Test will be carried out by a DVSA driving examiner.
Our expert instructors will train you to a test standard and beyond. You’ll gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to pass the test and ensure you’re ready for your future driving career.
For the course, we provide all the vehicles and equipment you need. You’ll train in the vehicles used during the actual test to ensure you’re familiar with the test conditions.
Yes, the course is intensive but designed to provide all the training you need in just 5 days. Our expert instructors focus on getting you to test standard as efficiently as possible.
