If you currently hold this licence, you will already have the experience of driving a large commercial vehicles and will therefore progress much quicker when upgrading to C+E requiring less time.
You will need to ensure you have the category C+E provisional entitlement on your licence. You do not need to take a further medical or Theory/Hazard perception test.
We would invite you in for a driving assessment, we can then be sure to tailor a course for your training requirements.

Yes, recent changes in licensing allow you to progress directly from a car licence (Cat B) to an HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) from the age of 18. You no longer need to take a Class 2 (rigid) licence first.
The test consists of two parts:
3A: A reversing exercise conducted by one of our assessors.
3B: A road driving test conducted by a DVSA examiner.
Our Class 1 (Cat C+E) training course is 5 days long.
We provide guidance on every step, from completing your medical paperwork to preparing for the hazard perception test and practical driving exam.
The 3A reversing test is conducted by our in-house assessors, while the 3B road driving test is carried out by a DVSA driving examiner.
We serve the Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater areas. Covering Somerset, Dorset and Devon.
